I began this site in February-March 2005 with the support of PY, to whom I would like to say hello. It was hastily created to fill the vacuum left behind by the abrupt closing of the A.D.N. site. It was thus necessary to create a site so as not to lose the work that had been done by A.D.N. Later, A.D.N. resurfaced, and NivAventure found itself in complete duplicate, bereft of the purpose for which it had been created some time earlier! It was from there that it completely changed direction and became a simple personal Lada Niva site like so many others on the Internet. I began alone, then several people took part and are still taking part in it by adding info, improvements, photographs and videos, etc. The site is no longer the work of only one person, but brings together the work of several passionate fans of Niva, and I find that excellent. NivAventure is not supported by aggressive advertising, annoying pop-ups, or windows which open leading to choices of every kind, such as multi-colored banners which flicker all over the place! The NivAventure site is hosted by Free, which is to say, for free, just like the forum by Forumactif. Nor is their any need for a domain name to make it more "professional." The important thing in my eyes is the site content and not its "name.com." Some ads are found on the site, but they are there only because they have a direct connection with Niva, but these are not aggressive in nature. NivAventure is neither a club nor any kind of organization, it is simply a www site and a free forum. Anyone may propose an event, a meeting, whether organized by the person himself or by an external organization, or may propose a meeting with a club, etc. Moreover, events may be announced on the banner page of the site and this free of course. Also, if you encounter problems on the site, missing pages, inactive or out-of-date links, even spelling mistakes; -) I would be grateful to you for bringing them to my attention. NivAventure is ostensibly a plain site: few colors, simple menus, return buttons on each page taking one back to the beginning, etc. In fact, it is made in the image of what it represents, the Niva. I would like to make a point here of thanking all the people who are contributing or have contributed to the enrichment the site and to making it day by day a more productive and attractive site.
